Course Overview

This "dual-qualification" approach allows you to cover the workplace requirements for adults while gaining the specialist skills needed for infants and children. It is delivered through a blended learning format:

  • Part 1 (Online): Approximately 6–8 hours of interactive e-learning. This module covers the theoretical side of both adult and paediatric first aid, including legal responsibilities and the theory of emergency response.

  • Part 2 (Classroom): A 1-day intensive practical session. This face-to-face day focuses on the hands-on skills required to save lives in both a school/nursery setting and a standard adult workplace.

Who is this for?

This combined course is perfect for:

  • School Staff: Teachers and TAs who work with children but also need to provide first aid to adult colleagues.

  • Early Years Managers: Professionals who need to be counted in the PFA ratios while also acting as the designated first aider for the staff team.

  • Sports Coaches & Club Leaders: Those working with mixed age groups (children and adults).
