StrantonThe blended level 3 pediatric first aid course in Hartlepool is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to provide effective first aid to children and infants in emergency situations. The course combines online learning modules with in-person practical training to ensure participants have a comprehensive understanding of pediatric first aid.

 

Essentially the 2 day qualification in 1 classroom day 

The course is delivered over one day, running from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with breaks provided throughout the day. The course is suitable for anyone who works with or cares for children, including parents, teachers, nursery staff, and childminders.

During the course, participants will cover a range of topics, including CPR, choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, and head injuries. The course will also cover the appropriate use of first aid equipment, such as defibrillators and EpiPens.

Participants will have access to the online learning modules prior to attending the practical training, allowing them to study at their own pace and review the material as needed. The practical training will be led by experienced instructors who will provide hands-on demonstrations and guide participants through practical exercises to reinforce their learning.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate valid for three years, which meets the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage. This certificate can be used as evidence of having completed a recognized pediatric first aid course.

Prior to attending the practical training, participants are required to complete the online learning modules. The online portion of the course must be finished beforehand to ensure that participants have a foundational understanding of pediatric first aid concepts and are adequately prepared for the in-person training.
